2nd 3rd 4th Ms Whyte

Lá Glas

Ms. Whyte’s class had a fantastic day celebrating the end of Seachtain na Gaeilge with Lá Glas!

World Book Day fun in Ms. Whytes!!!

In our class we celebrated World Book Day by writing a Book review for our favourite book we read recently and drawing our favourite character. We also made these cool Bookmarks!! We have been focusing on reading, thanks to the Parents Association for sourcing all the fantastic new books, it is exciting to read all of the new stories.

Cup Filling

In 2nd/3rd/4th class we are all so kind to one another and wanted to share our kind words with one another. We all wrote some kind words to describe each other. This was to fill their cup of kindness, we can now look at our cups and look at how much our cups are full.

Love is in the Air <3

For Valentines Day we did lots of art to celebrate the occasion. There are many different types of love and we are delighted to spread the love in our school for our parents, friends and each other!

Butter Making

Our class had so much fun making butter from cream! We tried two types of cream: single and double to see which would work best. We found out that single cream did not work at all. The double cream took some time with lots of shaking and the help of our grandparents!

We shook the cream in the jar until it became butter we dried it and put it on some lovely brown bread that Ms. Weir gave us.

Butter is a mixture of milk fat and water called an emulsion. By shaking the cream the fat molecules start to stick together. Over time more and more fat molecules will stick together forming one single lump of butter.
